Elky Araya, who is originally from Costa Rica, has called Douglasville, GA home for the past 20 years. During that time, she graduated from Alexander High School and was admitted to Kennesaw State University. From 2002 to 2006, Elky worked at a nonprofit mental health center, CETPA, in Norcross that also focuses on Latino mental health. During her time at CETPA she was involved in the Soy Unica Soy Latina After School Program, which was a community effort to reach out and engage Spanish-speaking students and their parents. ...

The Rev. Brandon Duke is a pastor, priest, and teacher serving St. Julian’s Episcopal Church in Douglasville, GA. He holds a B.B.A. from Mercer University that emphasized Management and Marketing, as well as an M.Div. from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
