Berenice Flores-Arriaga

Berenice Flores is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor , who specializes in working with children and adolescents in the following areas: anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, social skills, family transition, divorce, grief and loss, impulse control, stress management, and school related issues. A native of Jalisco, Mexico, Berenice also serves the metro Atlanta area as a liaison for many Spanish-speaking families. Berenice is a member of the alumni of Mercer University, where the degrees, Bachelors in Human Service and Masters of Education were conferred to her.
After 9 successful years of working in the banking industry as a financial adviser, Berenice realized her deepest passion was to serve and impact minority students. Subsequently, Berenice graduated from Valdosta State University with her Ed.S in School Counseling. For the past 7 years, Berenice has served Douglas, Gwinnett, and Dekalb counties as a school counselor by working with countless parents, teachers and community partners to help students reach their fullest potential.
Berenice, ever the advocate, seeks opportunities to serve the underserved in her community. Berenice has volunteered with the Latin American Association, which has grown over the past four decades to become the region’s leading agency representing Georgia’s Latino community, empowering Latinos to adapt and integrate. Berenice also enjoys opportunities to volunteer with Kates’s Club, a non-profit organization that helps to support children experiencing grief.
